A refugee boat on the way from Turkey to Lesvos. Sea rescue missions between Turkey and the Greek island of Lesvos. Many NGOs from different countries take part in addition to the Coastguard and EU border control agency Frontex on rescue operations. From the Turkish coast to the island of Lesvos a main refugee route runs to Europe .

Fluechtlingsboot auf dem Weg von der Tuerkei nach Lesbos, Seenot-Rettung Missionen zwischen der Tuerkei und der griechischen Insel Lesbos. Zahlreiche NGOs aus verschiedenen Ländern beteiligen sich neben der Kuestenwache und EU-Grenzschutzagentur Frontex an Einsaetzen zur Seenotrettung. Von der turkischen Küste zur Insel Lesbos verlaeuft eine Hauptfluchtroute nach Europa.
