Storming of the RWE lignite opencast mine Garzweiler. Activists of the climate protection campaign "Ende Gelände" continue their protest in the Rhineland lignite mining area. During the day, more than 1000 people occupied the open pit lignite mine Garzweiler. In the morning about 2000 demonstrators left the "Ende Gelände"-camp in Viersen with their golden protest finger. Afterwards they joined the Fridays for Future demonstration in Hochneukirch and broke through the police barriers to the opencast mine during this demonstration.
Erstürmung des RWE-Braunkohle Tagebau Garzweiler. Aktivisten der Klimaschutz-Kampagne ”Ende Gelände” setzen ihre Protest fort. Im Laufe des Tages besetzten mehr als 1000 Menschen den Braunkohltagebau in Garzweiler. Am Morgen brachen etwa 2000 Demonstranten mit den goldenen Protestfinger vom ”Ende Gelände”-Camp in Viersen auf, sie schlossen sich anschließend der Fridays for Future Demonstration in Hochneukirch an und durchbrachen im Laufe dieser Demonstration die Polizeisperren zum Tagebau.
