About 2000 people are protesting in Cologne against the start of the election campaign of the AfD North Rhine-Westphalia for the European elections. The demonstrators gathered at the entrances to the Cologne-Kalk Citizens' House, where the AfD event took place. Arriving AfD supporters were surrounded and insulted - many of them were accompanied by the police through the crowd. The protests continued peacefully in the community centre. The majority of those present protested with loud cheers in the hall.
Etwa 2000 Menschen protestieren in Koeln gegen den Wahlkampfauftakt der AfD NRW zur Europawahl. Die Demonstranten versammelten sich an den zugaengen zum Buergerhaus Koeln-Kalk, wo die AfD-Veranstaltung stattfand. Ankommende AfD-Anhaenger wurden umringt und beschimpft - viele von ihnen wurden von der Polizei durch die Menge begleitet. Die Proteste wurden auch im Buergerhaus fortgesetzt. Die Mehrheit der Anwesenden protestierte mit lautstarkem Jubel-Protest im Saal.
