Human bones were returned to Namibia at a memorial service in the French Cathedral in Berlin. It was the third handover of bones by the Federal Republic of Germany to Namibia. The bones had been brought out of the former colony of German South-West Africa during the colonial period. In front of the church and during the ceremony, there were protests for genocide compensation payments to the Namibian ethnic groups Herero and Nama.
Im Rahmen einer Trauerfeier wurden im Franzoesischen Dom in Berlin Gebeine an Namibia zurueck gegeben. Es war die dritten Uebergabe von menschlicher Knochen durch die Bundesrepublik Deutschland an Namibia. Die Gebeine waren waerend der Kolonialzeit aus der ehemaligen Kolonie Deutsch-Suedwestafrika außerlandes gebracht worden. Vor der Kirche und waehrend der Zeremonie wurde fuer Voelkermord-Entschaedigungszahlungen an namibianischen Volksgruppen Herero und Nama protestiert.
